Abstract: Evaluation of oil viscosity is an important deal in the design of various operations in oil fields and refineries. Therefore, the variety in viscosity of crude oil, depends on pressure and temperature [1]. In this work, different oil samples from Libyan reservoirs were selected and supplementary data were collected from published literature. Chew-Connally [2], Beggs-Robinson [3], Labedi [4] and modified kartoatmodjo [5] correlations are applied to the acquired data set and a comprehensive error analysis is performed based on a comparison of the predicted value with the experimental value. Results concluded that Beggs-Robinson model gives the lowest value of absolute average deviation (AAD %) 21.19 % compared with the other models promoting this correlation for more applications.

Abstract: Plan of this paper a investigation and implementation of controllers such as PID controller and G.A based PID for speed control of DC motor. Simulation results have established that the use of PID and GA-PID. A DC motor is significant for a good dynamic, reliable behavior of the DC motor, a great speed tracking with lowest overshoot, gives enhanced performance and high strength than those obtained by use of the other controller. The DC motor is broadly used in many applications like steel mills, electric trains, cranes and much more. In this dissertation a separately excited dc motor using MATLAB modeling has been outlined whose velocity might be examined utilizing the Proportional, Integral, Derivative (KP, KI, KD) addition of the PID controller. In this paper is to analyze the execution of Optimization techniques viz. The Genetic Algorithm (GA) for improve PID controllers parameters for speed control of DC motor and list their points of interest over the traditional tuning strategies. The output speed error and its derivative as feedback damping signals. In this we have create three objective function with help of the MATLAB coding m-file, but third objective function is a novel creation for system which gives the better result than conventional objective function.aim of this paper compared all conventional method to proposed genetic algorithm tuning techniques and finds optimum results such as peak time, overshoot and transient response.

Abstract: A general scour was observed in the first reach of El-Ibrahimeya canal from its intake to km. 60. Also, a local scour was observed around the bridge piles across the canal at km. 23 which may lead to a failureto the bridge because the condition of interred pile length that equals one and half of the free pile length was not satisfied. Moreover, the designed level of the bridge equals (42.15) while the current bed level equals (40.40) that represent a seriousness for the bridge safety. The main objective of this research paper is to study the scour phenomenon generally along the reach under study and for the bridge, especially. A hydrographic survey for canal under study has been carried out. Also, the required data was obtained and analyzed, including discharge values, soil samples, and water levels at different sites along the canal. A one-dimensional mathematical model, namely (SOBEK-1D) was used to simulate the reach under study based on different Scenarios to determine the possible different solutions for the existing problem. A complete design process was carried out for the suggested protection layer related to km. 23 bridge against scour.
